Declares
that the marketing of organic foods within this state is affected with a
public interest. It is vital to the continued economic well-being of the
citizens of this state, their general welfare, and the environment that its
organic agricultural commodities be properly promoted by (1) enabling
producers of organic agricultural commodities to help themselves in
establishing orderly, fair, sound, efficient, and unhampered marketing,
grading, standardizing, and labeling of the organic commodities they produce
and (2) working towards stabilizing the organic agricultural industry by
increasing consumption of organic agricultural commodities within the state,
the nation, and internationally. |
